Located 15 miles Northwest of central London, Borehamwood is home to a growing residential population alongside a large office and retail presence. For many years Borehamwood and Elstree was home to a variety of film studios. However, many have been closed with some even being demolished in order to accommodate new retail space.

Located on Shenley Road, which is the main road running through the heart of Borehamwood, is the Borehamwood Retail Park.
